Education and Experience: Graduation from high school, and 5 to 7 years of service and Fire Officer I certification (12 months to complete the certification if not already completed);
or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required
knowledge, skills and abilities.
Starting Salary: $39,933.34
Must have a current Paramedic Licensed
issued by the state of FL. Must have Fire
Fighter II certification, and a
valid FL driver license.
Jackson County F/R
Education and Experience: Graduation from high school and 1 to 2 years of experience in fire protection; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Certification as an Emergency Medical
Technician by the Department of Health,
Bureau of Emergency Medical Services;
Certification in Fire Fighting Standards;
Certification in CPR by the American Heart
Association; Completion and verification of Incident Command Classes through FEMA web site: (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800);
Possession of a valid Florida's driver's license; and completion and verification of a 16 hour Emergency Vehicle Operator Course completion.
Enrollment into a Paramedic program within two (2) years of date of hire; and
All required certifications will remain current and active no exceptions
